Dysfunctional: Definition

I live on the most dysfunctional block in America. It's part leaf-blowing contest to see whoever can blast their leaf blowers loudest and longest; part who-can-occupy-the-most-square-footage-with-their-vehicles; part don't-greet-your-neighbor, and part don't-give-a-damn-about-anyone-else.  It's also part hibernate-inside-your-residence; part ignore-everyone-else; and -- well, that pretty much wins the Most Dysfunctional Block In America Award for our area of the street.

To sum it up: excessive noise; hibernation; indifference towards others; and perhaps indifference towards selves.
 
You want a definition of dysfunctional? Take an aerial photo of my block, then send it in to Mr. Webster, or MacMillan's Dictionary, or the American Heritage Dictionary 12th Edition (or whichever edition it currently is), or Wikipedia, or Squidoo. Then, look up the word "dysfunctional" and you will see the appropriate photo alongside the definition.
